I travel to Brazil annually and can’t wait to arrive and get to training with Professor Marcolino and my teammates when I come. What an amazing club. All the students and other instructors are second to none. Leaps and bounds better than anywhere I ever trained. Everyone is so respectful and welcoming especially to a foreigner. I’m from the states. Everyone is happy and loves to train. I feel like it’s a true family affair. There kids program breeds nearly as many championships as the adult program. The quality of training partners are great. You get to roll with all belt levels and the higher belts take it amongst themselves to partner up with you during technical and live sparring and actively teach and instruct. There is no shaming and only encouragement is offered. The training area is also amazing. It’s an open space. Not all boxed in. When it rains you get to train and hear the onslaught of water. When the wind is blowing it blows across you while your practicing. It’s very peaceful. It’s not like a traditional bjj club. It’s very respectful and was very similar to how my judo dojo is run. I got the pleasure to compete as a team mate and won my division. I couldn’t have won without them and their instruction. Thank you for welcoming me into the family and I can’t wait for my future return trips to get more training and grow together as a family. OSS.
