The Language Club

Fantastic school with terrific teachers. They were able to accommodate me at the very last minute. I took 2 weeks of intensive 1-on-1 Portuguese classes and left feeling like (A) I could read, write, speak, and listen with reasonable proficiency and (B) I have a solid grounding from which to continue learning the language. The course was specifically tailored to my interests and abilities (for example, if you speak Spanish you can move very quickly through some topics that are identical or similar between the 2 languages). Highly, highly, highly recommended.Also, Floripa is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. Not a bad place to spend a week or 2 (or more) studying Portuguese.

The Language Club has it all, an amazing location, skilled teachers, caring staff, and lots of different kinds of students. My wife and I took a 2-week course in 2019 and returned in 2023 to study for a year. The Language Club is more than a school, it is a community of engaged teachers and learners. And we love it!

I can only higly recommend this school!They are professional, friendly and make you feel at home. They are trying to help with anything you need, even if its besides the language learning part, but your stay in brazil in general.I had various teachers, mostly Sara and Kristine and they did an amazing job!! My class was very small so there was so much room for questions. They not only taught the grammar parts (you could always ask for a specific grammar and they would explain it to you!) but did a lot of very interesting activities!!We read, listened and discussed super interesting things about brazilian culture, music and politics :-) The teachers seem to love their job and motivated me soo much.My portuguese improved immensely in my 4 weeks and i am so happy and grateful!! Thank you

Love this language school! Spent a week and a half here learning Portuguese with Carolyn and Rosanne - both amazing teachers! The school has a really close-knit family feel and all the staff are so kind and helpful! Really liked that they offered a homestay too which was great to live with Brazilians! Defo choose here if you're looking for a language school in Floripa, you'll love it!

Dear Language Club Team, you are really all doing a great job. As an absolute beginner from zero my basic Portuguese skills improved so fast in the last 5 weeks so that I can now get along in the country much more easily. Amazing! Beside this, I had the privilege to get to know so many other wonderful students from all over the world. Last but not least I wanna thank my teachers Kristine and Victor for their amazing job and for always being understanding and patient with me :-) Obrigado por tudo!

I had three tutors at the Language Club and they were all great. They had a real love for teaching language, which made it easy to look forward to every class. My Portuguese improved by leaps and bounds thanks to Victor, Liz, and Rodrigo! And it’s in such a good spot in Lagoa, too :)

They are wonderful at what they do and are able to teach portuguese to every skill level. The best part is that they're not only professionals, but they are also very personable and make you feel like family. You can sit and have great conversations with any professor or staff. I really enjoyed my time there!

Great team of people and instructors. I spent 3 weeks improving my Portuguese and learning from the culture and all the great things Brazil has to offer. All the instructors are well prepared and will challenge your skills. Muito obrigada
