Paraty Explorer

We did 2 fantastic tours with Paraty explorer! Our trek to the Melencia falls was incredible and was almost like a private guided tour as it was just the 2 of us. Micheal (the guide) very knowledgeable about the Atlantic forest and we enjoyed the whole day. Would 100% recommend trips with them. Micheal is a native brit as well which was great when he was explaining about the forest.

We had a great day of paddling in the bay with Michael. We did a 4-5 hour tour and visited some beautiful beaches and islands not too far from the city, and passed through a crab filled mangrove on the way back. The kayaks were top quality, and really glided through the water, much better than the standard models available to rent on the beach. The tour was really professional as well but without feeling like a tour. Michael always asked the group what they wanted to do, and gave us many options so it was was real nice and laid back. He also knows a lot about the local fauna and was able to name all the birds and other creatures we encountered along the way. He also had some great stories about Paraty and the local legends. If you want to discover what Harry Potter and a little secluded beach have in common, then Michael is your guy! Definitely a highlight in Paraty. (Went in March 2020)

INCRÍVEL!Eu tenho muito medo de água, estou me desafiando nessas férias e o cuidado e atenção do Pipo (nosso guia) foram sensacionais.Ele é natural, verdadeiro, tranquilo… o que torna tudo genuíno.

Very good service - I had a trip and two transfers with them.The transfers went well - on time, good and safe driving, clean cars and in good condition.The trip was nice as well though it would be great if the guides’ English would be better.Would book with them again.

Had an excellent hike with guide Chico to Ponta Negra. Great swim at the end in the waterfall and fun ride back with a local fisherman. Highly recommended!

Tive o prazer de participar de uma excursão ao Pico do Pão de Açúcar - Mamanguá com a Paraty Explorer. Michael é um ótimo guia e profissional, compartilhando conhecimentos históricos, culturais e ambientais durante todo o percurso do passeio.O Passeio foi feito com lancha saindo do Cais de Paraty (Centro) em direção ao Saco do Mamanguá, seguido de caminhada pela praia antes de fazer a trilha principal para chegar ao pico.A trilha pela Mata Atlântica e vista são incríveis e o passeio de barco para chegar lá com certeza vale a pena!!

Passeio maravilhoso no meio da natureza exuberante de Paraty, um mar muito tranquilo, limpo e com muito pouca ondulações. Passamos por ilhas, praias e o manguezal maravilhoso com garças, caranguejos, vegetação exuberante. Michael é o nosso guia: ele é muito competente no que faz, conhece sobre Paraty, a vegetação e a fauna e flora. Os equipamentos dele (caiaques oceânicos) são bons, em bom estado.É um passeio que recomendo para quem gosta de curtir a natureza. Pode ser em família pois o grau de exigência física é baixo.

Passeio imperdível para vivenciar a baía de Paraty! É uma grande experiência adentrar o mangue, parar em ilhas e praias desertas, fugindo do roteiro comum.Michael é um guia atencioso e preparado, deixando cada um a vontade para aproveitar e natureza. Tem muita experiência nos caiaques, além de conhecer muito bem Paraty.Passeio adequado para iniciantes, caiaques seguros e confortáveis, super recomendo!

We made great experiences with Paraty Explorer. We rent a kayak for a day and were able to discover the beautiful beaches and islands around Paraty.Michael supported and provided us with all important information and equipement we required for our trip. Thanks a lot.

What a beautiful journey. After rafting in Germany and Sierra Leone I really enjoyed this one. Mike took us to a most wonderful tour both showing us some very pretty islands and educating us about the ecosystem and history here. Safe, beautiful and a little bit challenging (3h tour).I can only recommend it.
