Yoga Surf School - Escola de Surf

I would not recommend Yoga Surf School to anyone; my whole stuff was stolen there and I haven´t been reimbursed by the owner. When I took my first lesson at Yoga Surf School, in June 2015, the owner (as well as manager and instructor) showed me a place where to keep my belongings, a hole in the ground below the surfboards´ support on the beach, which, during surf lessons, he closed with a locker. I clearly expressed to him that I was carrying my cellphone and purse with me and he assured that the place was safe to keep my stuff. Anyway, one day during the lesson, when he and me were both inside the water, without informing me before he let the door of the storage place unlocked (because the locker was rusted!!!) and my whole belongings, purse, new cellphone and e-book reader was stolen by an unknown person. What followed now, after the theft, was as bad as the happening itself: The owner avoided to took the responsibility and told me that it was my fault that I had brought my stuff with me to the beach! After a long discussion, we agreed on he would at least substitute my cellphone, like he had no insurance to cover a case like this and said he had no financial funds to compensate all my losses. I ended up going to the police station to report the theft on my own this day, he didn´t offer to accompany myself and I was without any money, the support was very weak.I still frequented surf lessons for some more time after the happening, to show presence, because I was already suspecting that he didn´t want to reimburse myself. After a while, he started treating me rude and nerved. When I tried to converse with him about when he would give me the new cellphone, every time he rejected with another excuse. As a reaction, I didn´t go there anymore, I just went on asking him via Whatsapp when he would reimburse my cellphone as agreed before. In October 2015, he blocked all my contacts, kicked me out of his Facebook and I didn´t hear anything from him anymore. Against our agreement, I am, till date, still waiting for the reimbursement of my cellphone; the theft was in June 2015. He clearly broke with an agreement that we both made to delimit the damage I suffered because of his irresponsibility and let me bear alone the whole cost of the losses (new cellphone, purse with money, e-book reader, all cards like personal identity, driver license etc.).I cannot recommend Yoga Surf School to anybody, since the owner was making false promises to me and doesn´t act responsible with clients. I am personally really disappointed because I gave him a chance to solve this case for so long time, accepting that I would at least bear more than a half of all losses on my own, respecting his statement that he had no money to reimburse me for what happened. As a reaction, I was treated rude and he got me to leave out from lessons, giving me the fault and hesitating to take the responsibility.

Amazing outdoor Yoga experience on a very nice beach!!It is well located and close to good restaurants.
