Casa 48 Rio - Guesthouse / Pousada

Lugar muito calmo, ótimo pra quem precisa tirar uns dias off. Vista linda demais. Não há ar condicionado porém mesmo indo em dezembro, não passei calor.

They speak french, english, portuguese. Easy to communicate with them. Very cool people, breakfast is ready every morning, fresh juice made with fresh fruits. Place is clean, i mean so clean that you can walk with no shoes or no socks. Very cheap to stay there for 2 weeks. I really recommand it.

Hostel super bem organizado com uma vista de tirar o fôlego, vale a pena. Só se preparar para uma pequena subida que com malas pode ser desgastante, um trecho super pequeno.

Foi incrível, simples porém tudo ótimo. A vista é surreal. Com certeza voltarei mais vezes.

The view from the hotel is great (it’s at the entrance of a favela, and looks out onto Sugarloaf Mountain), and the staff are quite friendly as well. If you stay in this hotel, make sure you get Tony Lucena (Tony Rio Service/City Tour) to drive you around the city. We’re a family of four with two boys aged 9 and 3, and we had a great time in Rio thanks to Tony. He not only brought us to the famous sights (Corcovado/Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, etc.), he also helped us find the best exchange office to get Brazilian reals, waited for us while we bought needed items at the supermarket, called an ATM helpline for us (we don’t speak Portuguese), and brought us to a restaurant that served great Brazilian cuisine (and we even paid for his meal just to show him how grateful we are). Tony also speaks a bit of English (in addition to Spanish and Japanese [because of his wife]), and because he was very friendly and accommodating, we never had any communication issues at all. We thank the hotel staff for their help, and we especially wish Tony and his family all the best for the future…

Leonardo e Valentin são gentis, hospitaleiros e educados....S2A vista é a melhor do Rio de Janeiro.As camas dos quartos são excelentes.O café do Leonardo é uma delícia.... S2A piscina e a vista valem o passeio... Quero voltar em um dia de sol !!!A decoração do imóvel é vintage.....então da uma sensação de aconchego ...A Internet funciona muito bem...Top d+++++.Gratidão!

Incredible place to stay in Rio! Quiet and cozy private rooms, good breakfast, Valentin shares good plan and tour in town, and last but not least : a stunning view over the city!

Casa 48 is a great place. Awesome views and perfect service. Valentin and Axel are doing a great job of providing their clients with everything they need. The private suits with view are incredible. The breakfast is simple, but the delicious fresh Brazilian fruits make for a great start of the day. Don't go here if you expect lots of luxury, but do go here if you want to experience the real Rio de Janeiro. And don't miss out on a visit to the peaceful favela Pereira da Silva to visit the amazing Morrinho Project.

We had a really great stay at the Casa 48: The house is amazing, with a breathtaking view over the city. The breakfast was delicious and staying in this house felt like being at home. Its proximity to the Santa Teresa's neighbourhood offered a lot of things to see and places to eat. We're now waiting for the moment we can come back !
