Excellent and professional service, great tour guide, best decision of my trip. Why? Please read my rather long review below :)I went to see Orbita on a Saturday morning, asking about visiting a cacao farm.At first it seemed to them and to me, I would not be taking a tour through them. But Annie was friendly enough to still provide me with some information, even though they would gain very little from it. I like this professional attitude. Keep up the good work.And because of that, I went back on Monday after having reflected on things during the weekend, requesting a private guided tour to a cacao farm near Ilheus. On the same day, Annie arranged everything for me, taking into account all my needs and wishes. Annie, thank you for that.It was one of the best decisions I made during my entire trip through Brazil. My tour guide Pedro, a chili farmer and ecological agro-forestry (or whatever it is, he helps other farmers in the field make the best out of their land in a sustainable way) expert, was excellent. Pedro was knowledgeable, polite, helpful, and very pleasant to spend time with. He explained the influence of climate, environment, etc etc on cacao farming. Pedro, thank you for this.On the farm itself, Fazenda Provisao, the owner was a very passionate man, coming from a long line of cacao farmers that were a big family in Ilheus in the day of the 'ouro branca' or white gold. Unfortunately I forgot his name, but I wish I could send him some of Belgium's best chocolates and beers just because I learnt so much from him and Pedro. I wish I had more time there because he is also into cooking and I would have loved to try that. Fazenda Provisao owner, thank you for that.Still the day was not over yet. In the afternoon, we planned (on the spot, might I add, what a great service!) a visit to CEPLAC, the institute for cacao farming and everything around it. Pedro served as translator, while the PR person of CEPLIC, Fatima, told us what CEPLAC does and more about each part of the chocolate production process. Even though I understand only a bit of Portuguese, her enthusiasm, good intonation and ability to express herself non-verbally helped me to understand more, and especially to enjoy the visit. So thanks to Fatima and Pedro I also learnt much at CEPLAC as well. Especially the chocolate tasting at the end was interesting, because I 'challenged' the chocolate worker that day into bringing out their best chocolate. In the end, I got much more out of it because they employee there (I wish I remember her name, it was on Tuesday 1/3/16) went to fetch other and better samples of their chocolate. Fatima, thank you for that.Upon returning, Pedro also found a 'mel de cacau' seller, and after buying a bottle, we all had one cup of this amazing, unique, and only-available-on-the-day-of-a-harvest stuff. That too made my day great.I should also mention here that our driver, Ubo or Ubu, was excellent. Not only did he always wait for us patiently and was he helpful to Pedro when necessary, he was a great driver who drove the van in a pleasant way (unlike some of the taxi drivers are). A big thank you to Ubo for that.After this big day, we returned back to Orbita's office, where Annie had, as per my request, my invoice ready.There is nothing I can add here that would have made things better, that is how good it was in my opinion. So the money was really definitely worth it, even if the price tag is a bit higher than other tours you could do.Orbita Turismo, keep up the good work you are doing. As the son of a former chocolate maker and tour guide myself, I tip my hat to you. Melhor experiência em transfer que já tive. Eu sou um passageiro chato e por mais que eu pense, não consigo encontrar um motivo pra reclamar. Desde o atendimento sempre rápido e atencioso da Ane e a qualidade do carro (uma Pajero Full) e principalmente o Sandro, um motorista como poucas vezes conheci. Tudo perfeito.Sempre viajo com transfer, não tenho paciência para dirigir e considero que ir para lugares belíssimos como o litoral sul da bahia EXIGEM que você ande com quem já conhece a região até para que você curta a viagem sem preocupações.Fomos tranquilamente para a Península de Maraú e na volta contratei novamente a Órbita. Tivemos dias de chuva, o que tornaria a volta difícil, porém, mesmo vendo alguns carros presos no caminho devido às condições da estrada, pudemos continuar nossa viagem como se a estrada de terra fosse de asfalto.Aconselho a todos: não tentem economizar troquinhos na hora do transporte, com um pouquinho a mais você tem um transporte maravilhoso, com carro de alta qualidade e um motorista como o Sandro, que conhece a região, conduz um 4x4 como poucos e conduzirá sua família em segurança a seu destino.Não há como não dar nota máxima para essa equipe.Obrigado a todos!
