Buen lugar para aprender. Te dan una clase para principiante de 1 hora, y después te prestan las tablas durante todo el día (a feb de 2016, 60 reales). Las olas del lugar son óptimas para empezar a surfear.

i did not take lessons but only rent a board for 1 month. 30$r for an hour. It’s a good price. Not very commercial but well located and good price for renting.

We have been advised to go to this school by our friend who owns a bar on the beach and who personally came with us to the school to adjust the price for us. In total we rented a surf for six hours and took two one hour lessons for a price which we thought was a bit higher (but accepted it as we were advised to go there). On our final day we overheard that the surf board were being rented at half the price what we paid. We then shared this information with our friend, he was shocked and went personally to complain to the school. The owner of the school said that the teacher (Jean Carlos) defrauded us. Moreover the lessons did not last one hour as promised (he tried to finish after 25 minutes in one of the lessons) and during one lesson he was focusing on other people other than myself, trying to attract them to take lessons with him (which indeed happened). Overall not a good experience, be careful with this one.

Pelo que entendi, é uma das mais caras na praia do Madeiro. O professor que me deu aula era super gente fina e me atendeu bem no começo, mas na hora da aula em si, foi bem grosseiro desnecessariamente diversas vezes. Não parece ter nenhuma paciência para ensinar iniciantes de verdade, se não ficar em pé nas primeiras tentativas, já vai ouvir desaforo. Me desmotivou bastante a querer fazer mais aulas, recomendo ir em outra.

I had an amazing experience with these guys learning how to surf. I had 5 lessons with Frankie, and by the end of it was able to catch 6 waves on my own.The entire team is super nice, and it was a pleasure learning how to surf with these guys.Frankie and many of the instructors speak Portuguese, English, Spanish, Italian, French.
