Caponata Buffet & Empório is a self-service restaurant located inside Parque Cidade Corporate building, where many public and private institutions have offices in it. Therefore, this restaurant has been thought to cater for people working in the offices in the building and in the surrounding area (where you find malls and hotels). Also, due to its purpose, it will be open from Monday through Friday, office hours.The foods they make are quite tasty, and you can go from healthy to living la vida loca as much as you want. The buffet has a huge variety of salads, and other vegetables for one to prepare a healthy meal. Proteins also include grilled beef, pork, fish, chicken and vegetarian options. But they also have options for those who prefer a more 'substantial' meal. There always are options for pasta, quiches, stews, etc.Now the desserts... they have quite a fee different types of mousses, cheesecakes, cakes, brownies, etc. And as it a self-service restaurant, one feels tempted of trying 'just a bit of everything'. And they are quite nice, especially for those with sweet teeth.Before and after lunch hours, you can also stop by and have a snack. It is possible to grab food from the buffet, and even have them make a tapioca with the filings of your choice.I would not recommend it, though, for a beer after a hard day at work, or that special Friday meal with your mates. As it is place on the ground floor of a commercial building, the atmosphere is not the prettiest for a nice chill out time.But overall, it is a very good restaurant, with gorgeous food, and very well trained staff.
