Diamantina Mountains

We had an excellent 4 day adventure with Diamantina Mountains, the home stays were very welcoming with great food. The trek was challenging but with excellent guidance we made it to the amazing view points on the route.

Foi sensacional passar por todas as Trilhas com ele guiando, além de ser nativo, ele que ajudou a construir as trilhas super recomendo! Ele sempre preparou os lanches e as refeições na trilha de forma especial! Obrigado Betão. E os moradores locais que nós hospedaram, que comida excepcional, Leia, Jailson e Maria, E a Mulher do seu Joia, gratidão! Eu mais quatorze amigos fizemos a Travessia do Pati em cinco dias no final de agosto. Tudo foi muito bem organizado e funcionou perfeitamente. Os guias foram muito prestativos e estavam sempre atentos em atender às necessidades do grupo, inclusive nos trechos mais difíceis das trilhas. As casas onde ficamos hospedados foram muito boas e as refeições de excelente qualidade. Durante as trilhas os guias montaram verdadeiros banquetes na hora do almoço. Nossos agradecimentos.

We took the 3 days trek with Diamantina Mountains. Peter, the manager, took care of all the organisation. He provides us everything we needed for the camping (tents, mastress and sleeping bags) and gave us all the information about the tour: everything was clear and very well organised from the beginning to the end.After having a quick appointment the day before (to take the material we needed) and answer the last questions we had, it is Pedro that took care of us the day after and during all the trek.Pedro knows the place very well and has a great experience in group guiding. He cooked for us every night and has everytime good stories to tell about Chapada Dimantina. The food was excellent, the guide too: he gaves us a good tempo from the breakfast to the end of the day.We really appreciate that!Everyday we had a moment to enjoy the waterfalls after walking. It was a wonderful experience we had with all the team of Diamantina Mountains, I will recommand it at 1'000%!

We had an awesome experience with Diamantina Mountains. Actually, it was one of the best travel experiences my partner and I have ever had in our lives, together or not. Our group was just us, with our guide. If you are planning this trip, know up front that it is far wilder than, for example, Torres del Paine: there are practically no signs anywhere in the park, and essentially zero infrastructure. Diamantina Mountains take care of everything from the food to the itinerary, and have deep contacts and experience in the area. By the time the trip is over, you'll see that about 15 people have been working behind the scenes to make your trip fun and safe. Our guide Emiliano was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Everywhere we stopped, everyone knew (and clearly liked) Emiliano. What's more, he has a higher degree in environmental management, and was able to tell us all about the plants and animals (aside from the very interesting history of the park) along the way. Emiliano was also prepared with first aid training and a deep knowledge of the park, so was able to take care of a minor injury in our group on the first day, and slightly modify our itinerary accordingly, while keeping everything enjoyable and interesting. After getting to know him a bit over the course of our four days together, we were sad to part ways with him. Lastly, if you've done some backpacking, you know how much of our" world is built on trust between strangers. Rest assured that Pieter and his team are highly trustworthy – they are transparent about their process

We (5 people) had an amazing 3 days trekking tour in the astonishing Paty Valley. Pieter and Louise organised everything perfectly and communication with them was easy and very nice. During the days we were securely guided by Tay, our helpful guide. In addition, we spend the days before and after in Pieter and Louise's guesthouse which was beautiful, neat and clean.We recommend the tour very much, one should just have some experience with trekking/hiking (or be generally fit) as all tours in the valley are intermediate or rather advanced. But it will definitely be an unforgettable memory.

Thanks to Pieter, Ian and Louise these tree people are wonderful for the organization. And big thanks to Gilberto our guide for three days! Very helpful, kindness, pedagogic. We learned a lot of thing about the Chapada Diamantina Mountains. We’ve made three treks: cave tours, Pati Valley and Mosquito/Poço Azul tour. Amazing experience ! Everything was perfect: jeep and driver, walks, lunch/pic nic...

We just finished a 3 days trekking with Pieter from Diamantina Mountains in the Patti Valey (about a 2 hours drive from Lençois) and were very fortunate to have him as our tour guide in this remote and stunning area. Very helpful, encouraging and patient guide, providing us with surprisingly great lunches. We also enjoyed being hosted by locals in the Patti Valley and learn about their lives. Hope to make it once more to this lovely place.

We booked two days of touring with Diamantina Mountain tours and enjoyed every minute of it. Our tour guide Enrique was friendly and knowledgeable and very easy to get on with. The area is amazing and having a good tour service really adds to your experience.Louise and Pieter were very easy to deal with through the booking process, etc. We'd definitely recommend their tours.
